LOW NOISE / HIGH SENSITIVITY / LOW DARK CURRENT
For the best performance, it is critical to minimize the impact of noise. Dark current is the small electric current that flows through photosensitive devices even when there is no light. It is one of the main sources for noise in image sensors, especially in low-light applications such as astronomy. Gpixel has developed a number of techniques to minimize dark current in its image sensors, making them ideal for all low-light applications. For example, our dual-gain technology uses a high conversion gain to reduce noise, while special layout designs help to minimise dark noise.
